Quantum Energy Partners Names William C. Montgomery Managing Director
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 08/18/11 -- Quantum Energy Partners, LLC (Quantum), a leading provider of private equity to the energy industry, is pleased to announce that Bill Montgomery has joined as a Managing Director. He will work closely with Quantum's executive management team to source, structure and support investment opportunities and will join Quantum's Executive and Investment Committees. Bill brings 22 years of experience as an energy investment banker focused globally on the upstream, integrated, and oil service sectors.
In announcing the addition to the Quantum team Wil VanLoh, Quantum's President & CEO, stated, "Bill will be a great addition to Quantum and we are extremely excited about welcoming him to the firm. He is an internationally recognized executive in the energy banking arena who has worked on some of the industry's most important transactions over the course of his career. Prior to joining Quantum, Bill was a Partner in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. where, during his tenure, he headed the firm's Natural Resources Group as well as its Houston office. He was also a member of Goldman's Investment Banking Services Leadership Group. Bill's career as a banker was focused on large cap energy companies primarily in the upstream, integrated and oil service sectors. He advised on several landmark mergers and acquisitions in those sectors in addition to leading efforts for his clients to raise an estimated $18 billion in equity capital. He has also been an active civic leader, chairing the boards of the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the St. Francis Episcopal Day School and continues to serve on both boards. He is also a member of the board of trustees for the St. Luke's Episcopal Health System and The Kinkaid School Endowment. Bill earned his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and BBA from the University of Texas.
