Success story of GERRY WEBER Retail segment continues as 200th retail store
is opened
Last Thursday, the Retail segment of the GERRY WEBER Group opened its 200th
store. 'I guess nobody can tell exactly which of yesterday's four openings
was the 200th store,' said Managing Director Ralf Weber with a smile. The
openings in Riesa, Frankfurt/Oder (one House of GERRY WEBER and one Samoon
store) and Seville were openings 200 to 203. Another 10 to 12
company-managed Houses of GERRY WEBER will open next month, which shows
that the expansion continues unabated.
The company will soon make inroads into another foreign market, with the
first House of GERRY WEBER expected to be opened in Poland before the end
of the current fiscal year.
Apart from the company-managed stores, the GERRY WEBER Group serves 247
partner stores, which means that the total number of such outlets has risen
to 450. In addition, there are 44 concession shops, most of which are
operated in cooperation with the Spanish El Corte Inglés Group, one of the
largest department store chains in Europe.
