Net income of $111.5 million was up 8% year over year.
The news comes as the company continues significant capital investment at facilities across the U.S. In addition to the $120 million expansion of the manufacturing plant for the company's well known jams and jellies in Orrville, Ohio, Smucker is investing approximately $77 million in expansion projects at two coffee plants in New Orleans, Louisiana.
