Takeover of CKD logistics
(PresseBox) - Schnellecke won the awarding process for the reference packaging operation of the BMW plant in the Wackersdorf Innovation Park.
On May 1, 2016, eighty Schnellecke employees took over the responsibility for the completely knocked down (CKD) activities, including the extensive packaging process. The scope of services includes the supermarket supply directly in the packaging area, the processing of the packaging services by the system, as well as the complete outbound process. In this area of competence, Schnellecke has many years of experience in the automotive industry and can therefore ensure the reliable material supply of the overseas production plants, for example in India, Russia, or Malaysia. The customer is also making use of transports of, for example, containers or empties limited to the production site premises.
Growing Partnership
After Leipzig, Dingolfing and Berlin, this challenging task is already the fourth cooperation in Germany between Schnellecke and the premium manufacturer. The implementation of the logistics processes of the CKD operation was carried out in accordance with the Schnellecke Project Management methodology. Within the project team all relevant work packages were assigned to the people responsible, the project phases, milestones, and the project structure plan were defined, as well as the qualification and training of the employees ? the most important element and success factor for Schnellecke in this project.
