Major Drilling Announces Departure of COO

(firmenpresse) - MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK -- (Marketwired) -- 08/11/16 -- Major Drilling Group International Inc. (TSX: MDI) ("Major Drilling" or the "Company") announces the resignation of Mr. Denis Despres as Chief Operating Officer ("COO") of the Company in order to pursue another opportunity. Mr. Despres joined Major Drilling in 2010 and has served as the Company's COO since December 2013. The Board thanks Mr. Despres for his contributions to the Company during his tenure as COO.

The Company has no plans to fill this position and the functions that were formerly the responsibility of the COO will be assumed by the Company's senior management team.
