The VX-GPF1626 is a 24-port 10/100/1000TX managed PoE switch boasting 370 watts of power, while the VX-GPH1610 is an 8-port switch that supplies 250 watts. They support 36Mpps and 14Mpps respectively, and both offer Layer 3 static routing and powerful L2 features.
The benefits of using PoE technology are many. When power and ethernet are both transmitted simultaneously using a standard networking cable, network installers are able to install devices in networking sites that otherwise lack local electrical circuitry.
DMS is an exciting and cutting-edge proprietary system that brings a number of benefits at an affordable price point. Not only does it improve the simplicity of remotely managing connected powered devices such as IP cameras and wireless access points, this new visual management software also displays a networking map complete with the IP addresses of connected devices.
“This DMS system we are releasing will allow our partners to remotely manage networks through a simple graphical interface,” said Joe Williams, Director of Channel Sales for Versa Technology. “This interface will allow our installers to offer enhanced monitoring services to their customers at no additional cost; the DMS is thrown in with the purchase.”
DMS further lowers the cost of ownership through energy efficiency upgrades, a built-in alarm system that enables real-time troubleshooting, and a simpler UI that lowers the learning curve for operation and management of the switch. Also, the included PoE Scheduling feature allow network admins to set operating hours to ensure equipment won’t run during non-business hours.
