Endurance's Board of Directors Declares Quarterly Dividends on Ordinary and Preferred Shares

PEMBROKE, Bermuda - August 17, 2016 - Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd.
(NYSE:ENH), a Bermuda-based provider of property and casualty insurance and
reinsurance, today announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly
dividend of $0.38 per ordinary share and $396.875 per share payable on its
6.35% Non-Cumulative Preferred Shares, Series C (the "Series C Preferred
Shares"). The dividend on the Series C Preferred Shares equals
$0.396875 per depositary share, each of which represents a 1/1,000th interest in
a share of the Series C Preferred Shares (the "Series C Depositary Shares").
The dividend on Endurance's outstanding ordinary shares will be payable
on September 30, 2016 to the ordinary shareholders of record on September 16,
2016 and the dividend on Endurance's Series C Depositary Shares will be payable
on September 15, 2016 to the shareholders of record of Series C Depositary
Shares on September 1, 2016.
