BlackRock, Inc. has informed Wärtsilä Corporation that it has sold Wärtsilä
shares on 20 December 2010 and now owns less than one twentieth (1/20) of the
company's votes. Following the transaction BlackRock Inc. owns 4,898,350 shares
or 4.97% of Wärtsilä's share capital and total votes.
