Industry Pioneers Start the Application for Global Leading RES (Renewable Energy Systems) Awards
Most Innovative PV and EES Projects in the Spotlight
(PresseBox) - The number of photovoltaic (PV) and electrical energy storage (EES) installations keeps on growing all over the world. Thousands of companies along the entire value chain ? operating on national or international basis ? are active to promote the generation of renewable energies. Installing PV and EES plants represents a huge challenge, especially in emerging markets without comprehensive support schemes. Due to the tens of thousands of projects implemented every year, there is only little awareness for projects of particular importance.
The German CleanTech Institute (DCTI) has partnered with EuPD Research, the Joint Forces for Solar (JF4S) initiative and the International Battery & Energy Storage Alliance (IBESA) to certify the world?s most innovative RES projects and starts with a closer look at PV and EES projects. Outstanding PV and EES projects in the categories First Mover, Tech Driver, Innovative Application, Unique Location and Largest Project will be identified. The awards relate to one region/country and underline the continuous effort of the industry to improve again and again.
Projects are eligible to the award upon recommendation of the project initiator?s expert panel and through the completion of the online form, available on www.dcti.de/certification. This year?s certification round runs 1 October to 15 November 2016. A committee of international industry experts will evaluate and decide on the success of the applications. Awarded projects will be announced before end of the year.
Projects implemented all around the world and especially in emerging markets are encouraged to apply. Progresses in the renewable energy industry can be very diverse from one region to another. Different social, financial and climatic conditions require special solutions. ?The seal will highlight extraordinary projects, distinguished by outstanding technologies, application methods and sites.? emphasized Daniel Fuchs, Director of Joint Forces for Solar.
The award was triggered by the initiator?s enthusiasm to provide the most innovative RES projects with the recognition and visibility they deserve. Dedicated to a smart, sustainable and inclusive development of RES projects, the project partners have the common vision, to drive and support innovations and forerunners.
Therewith emerging markets will be recognized, new target groups are getting accessible, local industry stakeholders can learn from best practices, investor confidences will be enhanced, business relations will be fostered; in a nutshell: Businesses and markets will be strengthened.
Seal winning projects will be acknowledged and exposed as industry pioneers among journalists, investors and stakeholders along the entire value chain.
