ALLSCHWIL/BASEL, SWITZERLAND - 3 January 2011 - Actelion Ltd (SIX: ATLN)
announced today that Dr. Elias Zerhouni has resigned from Actelion's Board of
Director at the end of 2010. Dr. Zerhouni will focus on his new role as
President, Global Research and Development at Sanofi-aventis, an executive
function he is assuming as of the beginning of 2011.
Robert Cawthorn, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Actelion, commented:"We
would like to thank Dr. Zerhouni for his valuable contribution as a Board
