Cryo-Save Group: Q4 2010 best storage volume of the year; cord tissue samples increased 174% on Q4 2009

Cryo-Save Group N.V. (Euronext: CRYO, 'Cryo-Save', or 'the Group'), Europe's
leading adult stem cell storage bank, stored 6,800 new samples in Q4 2010, (Q4
2009: 7,300 samples). This last quarter was the highest quarterly storage volume
for the year and an improvement of 10% on Q3 2010.
The number of new samples stored for the year 2010 amounted to 26,300 (2009:
27,900). The Group has now stored a total of 150,000 samples.
In Q4 2010 the number of new cord tissue samples stored increased by 174% to
3,600 (Q4 2009: 1,300 samples). Over 60% of new customers are now opting for the
combined service of cord blood and cord tissue storage, where it is available.
The Group expects to publish its results for the year to 31 December 2010 during
the week commencing 21 March 2011.
Arnoud van Tulder, Chief Executive, commented:
"We are pleased to see the positive trend of increasing storage volumes, with
the last quarter being our best quarter of the year, and with a very pleasing
uptake of our combined storage service.
"Economic circumstances in Southern Europe did affect our overall volumes
compared to 2009, but this was partly compensated for by growth in other areas,
such as South Eastern Europe.
"We are confident that further organic growth, combined with improvements in the
economy will result in continued increasing storage volumes in 2011".
