RoodMicrotec: 31% sales increase in 2010

Preliminary sales figures 2010
RoodMicrotec N.V.'s annual sales in 2010 (preliminary figures) increased by 31%
to EUR 15.563 million (2009: EUR 11.922 million), which marks a significant
recovery compared to 2009 sales. The sales increase was in line with the sales
increase in the global semiconductor industry.
In the second half of 2010 we realised sales of EUR 8.235 million, an increase
of 12% compared to sales in the first half of 2010 (EUR 7.328 million).

The sales growth in Test and Failure & Technology Analysis was due in particular
to increasing demand for existing products.
The business units Test Engineering and Qualification & Reliability, which
partly focus on new applications, showed significantly lower sales increases.
The sales dip in Supply Chain Management was due to one-off projects in the
first half of 2010. The generally strong growth in this sector is set to
continue.

The sales growth in 2010 was partly caused by a market recovery. However, we
also acquired new customers who represent clear growth potential, placing orders
for space and aeronautical, radio frequency, and smart chips for security
environments.
'In 2010 we worked hard on restoring sales and broadening our customer
portfolio. We have succeeded in both these matters, and our expanding order
portfolio gives us cause to be confident of further sales growth in 2011.
Furthermore, we anticipate that postponed projects will generally be executed at
a later date', Philip Nijenhuis, CEO of RoodMicrotec, said.
Outlook
Based both on the worldwide upswing in the semiconductor industry and on market
party forecasts, we expect our sales growth to continue in 2011, with the
exception of Supply Chain Management. Over the next few years we expect all
business units to realise sales growth.
Order applications increased further in the last quarter of 2010. In order to
meet this rising demand, we will make some limited investments and work to
further optimise the operational organisation. As in 2010, we anticipate that
sales in the second half of 2011 will be higher than in the first half of 2011.
RoodMicrotec maintains its long-term forecast of an average annual sales
increase of between 5 and 15%.
Date of General Meeting of Shareholders 2011 changed to Thursday 28 April 2011
RoodMicrotec's board of management has resolved to move the date of the General
Meeting of Shareholders forward from 24 March 2011 to 28 April 2011.
The reason for this is the extension of the statutory convening term for the
General Meeting of Shareholders of listed companies from 15 to 42 days after
publication of the Annual Report.
The General Meeting of Shareholders will take place at 2 pm on the premises of
NYSE Euronext at Beursplein 5 in Amsterdam.
