Dusseldorf/Nuremberg, 17.1.2011 - Clinics have to pay increasingly close
attention to cost, time and resource efficiency. This requires the processes in
everyday hospital operations to play a central role. It is necessary, for
instance, to align personnel planning with capacity requirements, which are
determined by occupancy levels. Each and every clinic needs flexible, tailored
work time models that enable rapid responses to resource changes, emergency
patients and mass casualty incidents. "A key strategic factor in determining the
success of a process-oriented organisation is integrated project and change
management," says Dr. Marco Emmermann, CEO of Visality Consulting. At the
"Hospital Build Europe 2011" trade fair and congress, taking place from 4th-6th
April 2011 in Nuremberg (www.hospitalbuildeurope.com), the logistics expert will
lead the series of talks on process optimisation. Emmermann will cover areas
like specific performance measurement systems, process simulation games for
staff training and the reorganisation of the Lufthansa Hub Control Center at
Frankfurt Airport.
Numerous international experts at "Hospital Build Europe 2011" will address
issues such as the optimal design and quick adaptation of clinical processes as
well as cost and resource management. Speakers include Prof. Dr. Dr. Wilfried
von Eiff from the Center for Hospital Management at Munster University, Prof.
Dr. Walter Sermeus from the Catholic University in Leuven, Prof. Dr. Tom
Guthknecht from the Lausanne Health and Hospitality Group, as well as Dr. Erkko
Böhm from the Wurzburg University Hospital, Prof. Lüder F. Clausdorff from the
Gießen-Friedberg University of Applied Sciences and Prof. Dr. Heinz-Jochen
Gassel from the Evangelical Hospital in Muhlheim. In addition to discussions on
process optimisation, parallel series of talks will focus on the design,
building and refurbishment of hospitals as well as on the topics of healthcare
management, non-medical services and patient hotels. ()
