Mobile machines made cloud capable by STW

(PresseBox) - With ?machines.cloud? Sensor-Technik Wiedemann (STW) introduces its IoT platform for the world of mobile working machines during the SPS/IPC/Drives show in Nuremberg. STW?s connectivity and data management modules TC3G and TC1, responsible for collecting and aggregating data on the machine, will be presented at the show as well.
Being the specialist for the automation, connectivity and electrification of mobile working machines STW offers its platform ?machines.cloud? for the integration of the machines into the daily office routine. ?machines.cloud? offer user and device management via a web interface that can be operated from a PC, tablet or smartphone. The data that have been collected with the on-board platforms TC3G or TC1 can be visualized, are the basis for geo-localization, or may trigger alarms. One of the most important features is the ?live view? where data are shown in freely designable SCADA widgets in real time.
While most telematics systems stop with visualizing machine data STW goes the extra mile and offers the right infrastructure for the integration and automation of business processes. With the well-described REST interface of ?machines.cloud? one can create a connection to ERP or CRM system thus obtaining insight and control of KPI?s (Key Performance Indicators). Time-to-market for new services and business models will decrease drastically.
A multitude of standard tools as well as a flexible and open ecosystem with 3rd-parties and services build the basis to deploy even short-lived business models with minor effort at reduced risk.
