Company Background:
American Manganese Inc. is a critical metal company focusing on future
production of electrolytic manganese metal from their Artillery Peak Arizona
project. Their production cost from the preliminary economic evaluation is
estimated to be $0.44/pound, making it potentially the lowest cost producer of
electrolytic manganese in the world at less then half cost of Chinese
production, before the addition of the 20% export duty.
China dominates the 2.6 billion pound electrolytic manganese market at 97.5 % of
all production. The company has NI 43-101 resources of an indicated 6.7 billion
pounds and 8.9 billion pounds of manganese contained in 200 million tonnes of
total resources.
Currently the preliminary economic assessment is based on US$1.10/pound. Current
price is US$1.81. Pre-feasibility study and pilot testing are currently
underway. The company trades on the TSX Venture exchange with ticker symbol AMY
