Ahold share buyback update

Amsterdam, the Netherlands - February, 7, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased
2,060,077 Ahold common shares in the period from January 31, 2011 up to and
including February 4, 2011. The shares were repurchased at an average price of ?
9.8229 per share for a total consideration of ? 20.23 million. These repurchases
were made as part of the ? 500 million share buyback program announced on March
4, 2010.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is
46,490,801 common shares for a total consideration of ? 462.0 million.
