We also see that many larger network rolloutprojects are being planned in our segments of the market around theworld but the decision processes are currently somewhat slowercausing delays.During the second quarter we have continued to win new customers andour existing customers continue to expand and upgrade the installedbase. The EMEA region has developed strongly during the quarterpartially offsetting the weak quarter in APAC and North America. Ourstrong relationship with existing customers is a fundamental driverand enabled us to win a new customer in Denmark in close cooperationwith BSD, one of our longstanding customers. We also established animportant footprint in southern Europe when a large broadband andmultimedia services provider selected Net Insight. As this newcustomer is planning further expansion we also see further businessopportunities. The Nimbra platform has proven to be the best solution for demandingcontribution networks for live coverage in many countries around theworld and this was once again confirmed when our solution wasselected for live sport transmissions of a European football league. We have continued to increase our investment in sales and customersupport functions as part of our strategy to expand into newgeographical markets. In the Middle East another step was taken whenNet Insight was awarded an order for a significant TV production andcontribution network in the region. Our sales in APAC have decreased compared to the same period lastyear. Despite uncertain market conditions, we have won new customersduring the period and we see increasing opportunities for ourproducts in Asia. According to plan, our network of business partnersand resellers has been extended and we are now pursuing opportunitiesin most major markets in the region. In North America we have a strong position among broadcasters andmedia network operators and our customers continue to upgrade andinvest in their Nimbra networks. During the second quarter, anothertier one telecom operator bought Net Insight equipment. This ordervalidates the need for flexible, quality-protecting transportsolutions among service providers in the U.S. and our continuedtraction in this market. Our potential in North America remainssignificant but the second quarter was weak. Our Time Transfer function (for GPS-independent synchronization ofSingle Frequency Networks) is an important market differentiator. Wealso introduced new capabilities in the Nimbra platform during thequarter, that are now in operation in customer networks. One newproduct is the IP Trunk, which makes it possible for a network ownerto use Nimbra nodes to transport signals over a combination ofoptical links and IP/Ethernet links. Normally the IP/Ethernet linksand the optical links are handled by different products and theNimbra solution has a unique advantage in being able to use both kindof links at the same time.Net Insight is well positioned for the future with a solid customerbase, strong offering and healthy financial position. The full report is available for download (pdf) below.Stockholm, 28 August 2009Fredrik TrägårdhChief Executive OfficerFor more information, please contact:Fredrik Trägårdh, CEO Net Insight ABTel.: +46 (0) 8-685 04 00, email: fredrik.tragardh(at)netinsight.netNet Insight ABNet Insight AB (publ)Box 42093126 14 StockholmTel +46 (0) 8 685 04 00www.netinsight.netCorporate Reg.
