Transmode continues profitable sales growth and geographical expansion

Stockholm, Sweden - 15(th) March 2011 - Transmode, a leading supplier of optical
networking solutions, today announced sales growth in 2010 of 23% with sustained
profitability and continued geographic expansion.
Transmode ended 2010 on a positive note with full year revenues of SEK 699.3
million, thereby exceeding the $100 million threshold for full year revenues
(using end of year exchange rate). This represents a revenue growth of 23% from
SEK 570.1 million in 2009, compared to the 12% growth rate that market analyst
firm Infonetics Research has calculated for the metro WDM market in 2010.
In addition to growing top line revenues, Transmode further extended
profitability with total EBITDA for 2010 of SEK 122.1 million, or 17.5% of
revenues, excluding non-recurring expenses of SEK 0.8 million. This compares to
2009's equivalent figures of SEK 77.3 million and 13.6% of revenues, excluding
non-recurring expenses of SEK 7.3 million.

profitability figures. Our focus on metro WDM, the scalability and feature set
of our products and our commitment to cost efficiency is clearly paying off,"
said Karl Thedéen, Transmode's CEO. "I am also delighted with the growth outside
our home market of EMEA. We ramped up our North American sales team in 2009 and
grew revenues in Americas with 127% in 2010 on the back of this expanded team
and a good product fit. In 2010 we have also expanded our Asia-Pacific team
further and have secured new customers in the region."
