Time for a Pat on the Back: The 2017 Annual Members’ Transport Awards
The awards are not only a chance to see accolades heaped on the best in our industry, it’s a great place to meet future employers and generate courier jobs.
(firmenpresse) - For the last 15 years the Transport Exchange Annual Members’ Transport Awards has celebrated the very best of the courier and haulage industries from owner drivers and new members to the best performing companies within the field.
But as well as the serious business of announcing the winners of our prestigious awards, the night is a great chance to rub shoulders with others in the industry, as well as make new friends and plenty of new business connections. Visitors to previous award nights have told us that it is a great way to find new courier jobs from a range of new sources.
Although business is at the heart of the night, the emphasis is also on having a good time so your ticket not only entitles you to a welcome drink and a four-course dinner but also an overnight stay, free parking and access to the hotel’s facilities. As well as all this there is a range of other entertainment laid on for the night, including:
•Motor racing simulators
•A hair salon
•Charity casino
•Raffle – with all money going to charity
•DJs
•Magicians
•An Elvis impersonator
Not only will you have a load of fun and make some valuable new contacts but you might even get your face in Transport Monthly and FORS, who will cover the event with a photographer and cameraman to capture all the action for posterity.
The Award Categories
While the evening is a lot of fun, the serious matter of the awards is at the heart of the action. The categories that our members are striving to win awards for are:
•New Member of the Year – Traditionally this is given to a member of the Exchange who joined in the last 12 months and has used our network to effectively grow their business beyond expectations.
•Owner Driver of the Year – This is awarded to an owner driver who has attracted attention on the Exchange thanks to the consistency of their high performance throughout the last twelve months.
•Company of the Year – This prestigious award is given to a company which provides the very highest level of service, using the Exchange to offer a wide range of courier jobs and to grow their business.
•European Member of the Year ¬– This category is designed to recognise members who operate courier jobs around Europe, as well as in the UK, and have used the Exchange to expand their offering in the last year.
If there are any companies or drivers you would like to see rewarded for their courier jobs over the past 12 months then make sure you take part in the voting process which is open now on the Transport Exchange website.
This year the Transport Exchange Annual Members’ Transport Awards will be held on Saturday 18 March at the lavish St John’s Hotel in Solihull. Make sure you join us there for the event of the haulage calendar.
