Aalborg service strengthens KLM's position in Denmark

Amstelveen, 27 March 2011 - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will today operate its
first flight to Aalborg in Denmark. With the start of the summer schedule, KLM
will operate twice-daily service to this new Danish destination. Aalborg will be
KLM's third destination in Denmark, after Billund and Copenhagen. The new
service strengthens KLM's position in Denmark.
KLM is the first airline to offer direct service between Amsterdam and Aalborg,
and the first major international airline to serve three destinations in
Denmark: Copenhagen, Billund and Aalborg.
KLM will operate flights to Aalborg with Fokker 70 equipment, which can carry up
to 80 passengers. The Amsterdam-Aalborg service will depart from Amsterdam daily
at 12.15 and 20.35 hrs. The return flight will leave Aalborg at 06.25 and 14.15
hrs. Passengers flying KLM from Aalborg via Schiphol can catch connecting
flights to 78 European destinations and 74 intercontinental destinations.
With the start of the summer schedule, KLM will also increase frequency to
Copenhagen from five to six flights a day. KLM will continue operating four
daily flights to Billund, which KLM started serving in 2006. Air France will
also begin operating flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Billund on 27
March; three daily flights on weekdays and twice daily during the weekend.
Together, KLM and Air France operate 20 flights a day to and from Denmark.
