OKMETIC ADJUSTS ITS ESTIMATE FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2011
Okmetic adjusts its estimate of the net sales and operating profit for the first
half of 2011. The net sales and operating profit for the first half of 2011 are
estimated to clearly exceed the level of the corresponding period in 2010
(previous estimate on 10 February 2011 "to exceed"). Reaching these estimates
means that the current positive market situation must not see any significant
changes at the first half of the year.
The natural disaster in Japan in March has no significant impact on the
company's first quarter net sales or operating profit which will be published on
27 April 2011. It is still hard to estimate the potential long-term direct or
indirect effects of the events in Japan on the electronics industry's value
chain and on Okmetic's business. The company will revise its estimate regarding
this issue if necessary.
