Jan G.B. Brouwer appointed to Schiphol Group's Supervisory Board

Mr Jan Brouwer (1955) has been appointed a member of the Supervisory Board of
Schiphol Group, effective Monday 18 April 2011.
Mr Brouwer was Chairman of the Board of Schuitema/C1000 between 1996 and 2006.
In that capacity he laid the foundations for the C1000 formula and supervised
the supermarket chain's successful positioning and strong growth.
As CEO of Laurus/Super de Boer N.V. from 2006 until 2010, Mr Brouwer was in
charge of a major downsizing and reorganisation of activities at the Laurus
holding company. His repositioning and refinancing of the Super de Boer retail
chain effected the successful transformation of a loss-making Laurus into a
profit-making Super de Boer. In 2009, Super de Boer was sold to the Jumbo
supermarket chain.
In addition to his seat on the Schiphol Group Supervisory Board, Mr Brouwer is a
member of the supervisory boards of Kring-apotheek B.V., RFS Holding/Wehkamp,
Albron B.V. and DA Drogisten B.V. Mr Brouwer is also a member of the Advisory
Board of the Annual Retail Award Foundation and board member of the VEDIS
platform for retail trade.
The Supervisory Board and Management Board of Schiphol Group are pleased to
welcome Mr Brouwer. In making new appointments, the Supervisory Board aims to
safeguard the complementary nature of its members, particularly in relation to
the fields of knowledge that are relevant to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Mr
Brouwer's vision on and expertise in retail is an excellent addition to the
profile of the Supervisory Board.
