New contract with Edvantage group gives Danish government employees access to more e-learning
(Thomson Reuters ONE) -
Oslo, 05 May 2011 - Edvantage group, Europe's leading provider of cloud-based
learning and performance solutions, has been awarded a contract to provide e-
learning courses to the Danish State Employer's Authority ,within the Danish
Ministry of Finance. As a result, over 40 courses designed to increase
proficiency with software, including Microsoft, Open Office and Adobe, will be
made available to up to 90,000 employees across Denmark's government agencies.
The courses will be part of Campus, the Danish state sector's unified learning
solution. Campus is designed to make competence development within the state
sector more effective, focused and strategically-oriented. The courses will be
available on-demand 24/7 to support and develop existing competencies within the
state sector. With a large catalogue of courses for commonly used software
programmes, the state can help employees build their desktop and IT skills and
upgrade to new versions of the Office package.
"Compared to other forms of training, e-learning is an effective and affordable
way to learn new skills," says Sine Martinussen, Campus Project Manager for the
State Employer's Authority, Ministry of Finance. "We selected Edvantage group
for their ability to deliver the most useful and widest range of content at an
affordable price. Their extensive portfolio of off-the-shelf content will enable
us to provide quality courses for a broad segment of state employees - from
beginner through advanced."
Edvantage group is delivering courses based on a partnership with Edutasia. "We
are pleased to be selected as content provider to the Danish State, and fully
support government organisations using e-learning to help people work more
efficiently, save time and achieve greater results," states John Tørring,
Managing Director, Edvantage group Denmark.
