Applied Materials to Present at Upcoming Investor Conferences

(Nasdaq:AMAT) will participate in two upcoming investor conferences. On
Wednesday, May 18 at 8:00 a.m. ET, Mike Splinter, chairman and chief executive
officer, will present at the J.P. Morgan Technology, Media and Telecom
Conference. On Thursday, June 2, Randhir Thakur, executive vice president and
general manager of the Silicon Systems Group, will present at the Bank of
America Merrill Lynch Technology Conference at 10:30 a.m. ET.
A live webcast of both presentations will be available on the Applied Materials

TMT Conference webcast will be available on Applied's website beginning May 18
at 5:00 p.m. ET until August 16, 2011. A replay of the Bank of America Merrill

p.m. ET until June 17, 2011.
