Imtech: further growth of mobility solutions in Eastern Europe

Gouda - Imtech (technical services provider in Europe) announces that it is
becoming increasingly active in the mobility market in Eastern Europe. Recently,
Imtech realised breakthrough orders for high-tech traffic solutions in Russia,
Lithuania and Romania and strengthened its existing traffic position in Poland
and Croatia. The order book for traffic solutions in Eastern Europe now totals
around 25 million euro. On the basis of these orders, Imtech expects further
growth for technical traffic solutions in and between economic hubs in this
region, where mobility and traffic circulation feature high on the political
agenda.

Imtech CEO René van der Bruggen: 'Imtech Traffic & Infra occupies a strong
position in the European traffic market, together with Peek, an acquisition from
2007 which has intentionally retained its own corporate identity because of its
strong brand name. Imtech is active in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, the
Nordic countries and Central Europe and is structurally working on further
growth of its traffic position in Eastern Europe. The intensity of the traffic
in and around cities in Eastern Europe is so great that high-tech traffic
solutions make an important contribution to improve traffic circulation. The
recent orders prove that we are making good progress in further strengthening
our position in the European traffic market - one of the objectives of our 2015
growth strategy.'

Breakthrough in Saint Petersburg, Russia
In the city of Saint Petersburg (population: over 3 million), Imtech is
supplying an innovative solution for traffic monitoring, including the
accompanying software and detectors. The structural collection of traffic data
forms the foundation for an adaptive traffic management system (traffic light
control system) that revolves around a network of 28 intersections in the city

centre. In a next phase, this system can be expanded to include other
intersections on key feeder roads and to other roads in the city centre. This
requires a master plan to be developed for the coming year, were Imtech with
local partners will be involved. Within this framework, Imtech has also expanded
its existing partnership with Delcan, an international traffic management
specialist.

In the bay of Saint Petersburg, Imtech is also working on the technical
infrastructure of the not-yet-operational Seatunnel, the last link for finishing
the ring road that encircles the city. Imtech is responsible, among other
things, for all technical traffic-related solutions such as height, loop and
radar detection, traffic signs, automatic barriers, traffic lights,
meteorological stations and prism signs (automatic panels). In addition, Imtech
bears responsibility for a high-tech control, operating and monitoring system
for the traffic installation in the tunnel.

Further growth in Poland
Imtech has already been active in Poland for a number of years, and it has
concluded maintenance contracts in, among other cities like Warsaw, Wroclaw
(Breslau) and Krakow. Working from this foundation, Imtech actively participates
in a growing number of government tender procedures. These tenders partly stem
from a special plan developed by the Polish government, in which ten cities have
been selected for government support in the area of mobility improvement. In
addition, Imtech is involved in FREILOT®, an experimental EU programme for a new
generation of urban traffic technology. The programme involves a real-time
technological 'dialogue' between vehicles and with fixed traffic systems such as
automatic traffic controllers. An integrated approach results in an improvement
of the local air quality, lower fuel consumption and improved road safety. It is
possible to reduce emissions and fuel consumption by up to around 20%. In
Krakow, Imtech realised the first experimental EU project in Eastern Europe.

Traffic management in Croatia
In the Croatian city of Split, Imtech is involved in a traffic management system
in which traffic circulation is improved via image and microwave detection, with
lower harmful emission levels as a result. In Zagreb, Imtech has been awarded a
technical maintenance contract.

Marketing and sales in the Baltic republics
In Vilnius in Lithuania, Imtech recently opened an office, with the objective of
engaging in structural marketing and sales in the regional traffic market of the
three Baltic republics. The company's first success was an order to supply an
intelligent traffic management system on the basis of RFID (radio frequency
identification) technology in Jelgava (Latvia). The first phase of this
assignment was recently completed. The second phase is scheduled for the second
half of 2011.

First order in Romania
In Bucharest in Romania, Imtech has recently in co-operation with a local
partner, obtained its first order for a high-tech traffic system.
