Her first title is the popular and critically-acclaimed children’s book, “Adventures with Andy & Susie.” The book is the Victorian “Steampunk” style adventure of Andy, a young boy home from school for a weekend of fun. Written in rhyme, the 36-page illustrated work is narrated by Andy’s faithful side-kick, Susie the orchard cat.
“This is a story I’ve been wanting to tell for some time now,” said Hall, who is also a multi-award-winning artist of mural size oil paintings. “The process of writing and illustrating a children’s book has introduced me to a new application of expression.”
“Adventures with Andy & Susie” is set in the hills of a family orchard. Armed with a flashlight, goggles and field clothes, the young hero sets off for adventure. His curiosity is fueled by hydro-turbines, a steam-driven wheel chair, and a tidal-powered city with hyper-loop trains to his school.
