About WholeBird
Born Jeffrey Kodo Addo in Ghana over in Africa, WholeBird moved to the US with his father at the age of twelve to pursue his education.
Initially inspired by his uncle’s Gospel band, and then by his continued exposure to both Gospel music and to the Rap, Hip Hop, and R&B genres, WholeBird turned his hobby of producing music into an indie career while in college, where he founded his own label and music group, Oh Damn Entertainment. So far, WholeBird has released two mixtapes: Birdflu and Birdflu 2. He is busy at work on his third, unreleased mixtape.
WholeBird attributes his main musical influences to Tupac Shakur, Michael Jackson, 50 Cent, and Gucci Mane. The latter of which has especially influenced him to focus on developing a new genre he calls ‘Afro Trap.’
When not producing music under his own label, or working his day job, WholeBird loves spending time with his five-year-old son.
