Philadelphia, PA, London, UK, June 8, 2011 - Thomson Reuters announced today
that the Italian National Research Council (CNR), the largest public research
organization in Italy, has selected the new Web of KnowledgeSM platform as an
important source of citation data and analysis for its 108 member institutions.

Thomson Reuters new Web of Knowledge is an integrated and versatile search and
discovery platform that delivers access to the world's leading scholarly
information in the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities, as well as
providing metrics and analytical tools for assessing research influence and
impact.

The CNR signed a three year contract for access to the Thomson Reuters Web of
Knowledge platform, which includes multidisciplinary citation data, conference
proceedings records and analysis tools from the Web of Science®, as well as
Journal Citation Reports®. The agreement brings together for the first time all
108 institutions affiliated with the CNR under one contract.

The Thomson Reuters Web of Knowledge platform will provide the CNR with access
to the world's largest citation databases covering more than 12,000 of the
highest impact journals, and over 110,000 conference proceedings records from
around the world.

"Access to robust citation data and analysis tools is critical as institutions
look to better understand their research impact," said Keith MacGregor,
executive vice president at Thomson Reuters. "We believe the new Web of
Knowledge platform will provide significant support to CNR in its effort to
deliver high-impact research through its network of institutions."
