Stockholm, Sweden - 13th June 2011 - Transmode, a global supplier of packet-
optical networking solutions, today announced that China's Ministry of Industry
and Information Technology (MII) has granted a Network Access License to
Transmode for its TM-Series networking equipment. This means that Transmode's
products are now approved for use in China's public network.

The MII license is a mandatory requirement for all companies delivering
telecommunications equipment to the Chinese market. The award is significant
because it is only with this certificate that any company is allowed to deploy
equipment that will be connected to China's public telecommunications
infrastructure. Obtaining an MII license is a complex process - all companies
that apply must meet a series of requirements and pass rigorous product testing.

The test process to gain certification includes engineers from China's Ministry
of Industry and Information Technology testing the systems in live operation;
expert evaluation and the submission of complete documentation. Transmode passed
all the required tests and criteria and was able to successfully demonstrate the
capabilities of the TM-Series.

"We are delighted to have MII certification awarded to us as it both reflects
the hard work of our Asian team but more importantly also opens up one of the
world's largest markets to us as a company," said Karl Thedéen Transmode's CEO.
"The significance of the MII certification in China is Transmode's ability to
meet stringent demands in multiple marketplaces. We continue to demonstrate that
we are a global company and that our packet-optical networking equipment is
meeting growing bandwidth demands worldwide."
