EDB - Trafikanten selects Avenir for its new publishing solution

September 2009) EDB's subsidiary company Avenir has enteredinto an agreement with Trafikanten to develop a new publishingsolution that will provide 1.5 million Norwegians with up-to-dateinformation on public transport through a range of channels includingthe Internet, mobile telephones and a customer centre.Trafikanten AS invited proposals for a new publishing system inspring 2009. Vendors from Norway and Sweden competed for thecontract, and Trafikanten selected EDB's subsidiary Avenir as thewinner. The agreement represents total contract value of NOK 3million. Work on implementation will start in September, with thelaunch of the new solution planned for the first half of 2010."The technology that Trafikanten currently uses for its publishingsolution has become outdated, with limited flexibility, and isexpensive to maintain.
