(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Glencar Mining plc Board Changes 8 September 2009Glencar Mining plc ("Glencar" or the "Company") announces that,following the Offer by Gold Fields Metal BV becoming unconditional,Sean Finlay, Hugh McCullough, Kieran Harrington, Bill Cummins andPhilip O'Quigley have resigned as directors with immediate effect.Thomas "Tommy" McKeith, Johan Pauley and Stephen Ellis have beenappointed to the board of Glencar with immediate effect. All of thenew directors hold full time executive positions in the Gold Fieldsgroup.Commenting on the outcome of the Gold Fields offer, Sean Finlay,Glencar's outgoing Chairman said; "The high level of acceptances -over 83% - of the Gold Fields offer reflects the strong support byGlencar's shareholders for this transaction, which I believe providesfair value for all the parties. I wish Gold Fields every success withGlencar's exploration projects, particularly in Mali and am confidentthat successful mining ventures will emerge from these projects.I note the exceptional service and dedication of all of Glencar'sexecutives and staff, both in Ireland, Ghana and Mali; especiallyHugh McCullough, Kieran Harrington and Lazare Pare.
