Solberg har vært konstituert istillingen siden 4. august og er nå også godkjent av Kredittilsynetsom styreleder i Acta Kapitalforvaltning ASA og Acta Asset ManagementASA.Geir Inge Solberg ble ansatt i Actakonsernet i 2000 somadministrerende direktør for Acta Fondsforsikring ASA, og i 2002 somleder av produkt og forvaltning i Acta Asset Management ASA, hvor hannylig ble utnevnt til administrerende direktør. Solberg kom til Actafra stillingen som administrerende direktør i Vital FondsforsikringAS, og har hatt ulike lederstillinger innen bank og finans.
