Magazine is awarding the "MM Award" for particularly innovative new or further developments for the sixth time

(PresseBox) - The "EMO Hannover 2017" is the world's leading trade fair for metal processing. Every year, the industry magazine "MM Maschinenmarkt" lends its "MM Award" for outstanding products. The prerequisite for participation is a particularly innovative new development or further development with essential distinguishing features from the current state of the art. In addition, the benefits for users, the environment and society were evaluated to determine the winners of the ten categories.

JAKOB Antriebstechnik GmbH from Kleinwallstadt was able to convince with its advanced "FMS Pad" in the category "clamping devices". This is an intelligent clamping claw which reliably monitors the clamping forces even during processing of the workpiece by means of constant data transfer. The force measurement is carried out by means of a strain gauge. Depending on the configuration, the FMS (Force Monitoring System) can send an emergency stop signal to the processing machine in the event of a decrease in the clamping force. The limiting force, which is triggered by the system, is freely adjustable. The transmission of the data to a display device included in the scope of delivery or a commercial notebook, as well as the logging at regular intervals is also possible. The "FMS Pad" significantly increases the productivity, safety and processing quality in clamping situations.
