As Nationale Suisse sold its Group life business in Switzerland in early 2011,
the insurance group will no longer operate the Life Switzerland business unit as
an independent unit, but will develop it as an integrated business area in line
with its strategy. A decision will be taken in autumn 2011 regarding where the
business area will be situated in the organizational structure.
Anton Peter, who has been Head of Swiss National Life Ltd since 1987 and was
promoted to the Executive Board of Nationale Suisse Switzerland in 1999 and to
the Executive Board of Nationale Suisse Group in 2005, will enter early
retirement on 31 January 2012. He will, however, continue to make his
comprehensive expertise available for selected activities at Nationale Suisse.
As of 2012, Marc Gamba, currently Head of Individual Life, will assume the
management of Swiss National Life Ltd and of the Life Switzerland business area.
