The World Egg Bank Aims to Improve Relationships With IVF Clinics Abroad

ID: 562781

The World Egg Bank is visiting IVF clinics in New Zealand and Australia to strengthen relationships and improve processes for donor egg delivery.

(firmenpresse) - The World Egg Banks (TWEB) Founder/CEO, Diana Thomas, and Scientific Director, Dr. Kimball Pomeroy, will be in New Zealand from October 9-14, 2017 and Australia from October 14-18, 2017.

In New Zealand, Thomas and Dr. Pomeroy plan to visit two clinics in Auckland to continue in their development of new relationships. This will be TWEBs first visit to New Zealand.

The two will then be traveling to Adelaide, Australia to exhibit at The Fertility Society of Australia's Annual Conference (FSA 2017). This year, FSA 2017 will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre October 15-18, 2017. TWEB will be at booth #26.

Our mission here will be to strengthen the partnerships with our verified Australian clinics while working to generate new ones. We hope to help create families in even the most remote places and educate clinics on how we can help them achieve that for their patients, stated Thomas.

Fertility issues have been on the rise in New Zealand where taxpayer-funded fertility support requests have increased by twenty percent since 2013. In contrast, national funding has only grown by seven percent. This has resulted in parents waiting for more than a year for publicly funded infertility treatment. When parents do receive the funding, both the fertility clinic and egg bank providing the donor egg take steps to ensure a higher success rate of pregnancy.

The World Egg Bank sets high industry standards for egg quality and cultivating close relationships with egg donors and recipients. TWEB operates a state of the art retrieval facility with a singular focus on egg freezing. This has shown to further improve egg quality by providing consistent and better controlled monitoring, procedures, and environment. TWEBs roster includes hundreds of donors and has thousands of eggs available for immediate shipment.
