NBPE Net Asset Value Update August 2009 and Investor Conference Call

In addition, NBPE published a new investor presentationwhich will be reviewedduring today's investor conference call.As of 31 August 2009, NBPE's unaudited NAV per share was $8.52,representing anincrease of 1.5% compared to the unaudited NAV per share of $8.39 at31 July 2009.The value of NBPE's private equity portfolio as presented in theAugust 2009 monthlyreport was based on the following information:- 19% of the private equity fair value was held in credit-relatedfund investments thatwere re-valued as of 31 August 2009- 8% of the private equity fair value was held in publicly tradedsecurities that were revaluedas of 31 August 2009- 56% of the private equity fair value was held in private equityfunds using valuationinformation through 30 June 2009- 16% of the private equity fair value was held in privateco-investments usingvaluation information through 30 June 2009- 1% of the private equity fair value was held in private equityfunds using valuationinformation through 31 March 2009During August, NBPE's portfolio value increased due to $2.8 millionof positive mark-tomarketadjustments on credit-related fund investments, $0.5 million ofunrealized gainsrelated to public equity securities and $0.5 million of positiveforeign exchange adjustments.Moreover, net unrealized gains of $4.2 million were attributable tothe receipt of Q2 2009valuation information for certain fund investments and privateco-investments.A breakdown of NBPE's NAV can be obtained in the August 2009 monthlyreport, whichalong with the new investor presentation is published on theCompany's website atwww.nbprivateequitypartners.com.
