Natural Power completes ROC project no 8 for Airvolution Energy
(firmenpresse) - Leading renewable energy and infrastructure consultancy, Natural Power, has completed due diligence on behalf of Airvolution Energy (‘Airvolution’) for its commissioning of Kinegar Wind Farm in the Scottish Borders, making it the eighth renewable obligation certificate (ROC) and Feed in Tariff (FiT) due diligence project delivered for Airvolution.
Gregory Dudziak, Due Diligence Lead at Natural Power, said: “We have worked for Airvolution for the past three years, and were delighted to complete this due diligence on the latest project at Kinegar wind farm.”
Gary Freedman, Commercial Director at Airvolution, said: “The last few years of wind development has required the industry to act quickly and efficiently to meet demanding schedules, especially with the ROC deadline. Natural Power successfully provided timely due diligence services across eight of Airvolution’s eleven projects, which was essential in meeting the demanding timelines.”
In support of the transaction, Natural Power provided extensive due diligence services for both pre-construction and post construction phases covering the full scope. Natural Power has previously delivered due diligence services to Airvolution for Wythegill, East Youlstone, Potato Pot, Mossmorran, Middle Balbeggie, Airfield and Red Gap Moor onshore wind farms – collectively providing a total installed capacity of 50 MW.
Last month, Airvolution announced an exciting joint development partnership with the largest renewable energy generator in Europe, Statkraft. Through the partnership, Airvolution Clean Energy will source, develop and acquire more than 300MW of wind projects in the UK.
