Booxscale is the “marketplace of marketplaces” and champions instant book buttons by surfacing them at the most convenient point in a user journey. The middleware marketing company wants customers to be able to order food, or book an appointment, from just “one-click”. It has created a one stop shop for apps, publishers and social platforms to gain access to on-demand marketplaces and offer simple sales and booking experiences for customers.
Cliff Hinrichs is currently Managing Partner at Steele Ventures and brings with him an unparalleled expertise in early stage startups and monetisation of e-commerce and publishing platforms. Cliff began his career as a currency derivatives trader for Bankers Trust, and went on to build a profitable, direct-to-consumer mobile video business within Mobix Interactive, as well as co-found his own marketplace startup HomeDirectory Ltd - hailed by the Financial Times as the “UK’s biggest property portal” in 2000.
He is an experienced angel investor, with a proven track record in 12 startup marketplace businesses across UK, Europe and USA. He spent over a decade in the Google Partnerships team, where in his last role he led the UK business, delivering hundreds of millions of dollars in annual monetisation to the largest publisher clients across news, e-commerce and broadcast and entertainment. He was also one of the first mentors at Campus, Google’s London-based start-up accelerator. Cliff Hinrichs commented:
