Genmed appoints two divisional managers, Sandeep Gill and Jolene Rayner, to support NHS Trusts with innovative managed service contracts

ID: 571783

(firmenpresse) - February 5, 2018 – Genmed, a provider of vendor neutral managed services to the NHS, today announces the appointment of two new divisional managers, Sandeep Gill and Jolene Rayner. They are responsible for generating new business, managing Genmed’s existing NHS client portfolio, developing supplier relationships and managing a growing team.

Sandeep Gill is responsible for Genmed’s business involving renal, pathology, endoscopy and I3 (imaging, infrastructure and IT), while Jolene Rayner is focused primarily on surgery.

The lack of capital resources in the NHS together with the need to reduce revenue costs year on year has led hospitals to seek managed service providers who can generate both economic and efficiency gains. Genmed has the ability to deliver both. Today, Genmed works for 40 NHS Trusts and Health Boards throughout the United Kingdom and, in total, has 220 contracts which are HMRC compliant supporting a variety of clinical disciplines.

Sandeep Gill joins Genmed from Natera, a NASDAQ listed genetic testing firm that develops and commercialises non-invasive methods for analysing DNA. In her capacity as regional manager, she launched the company in the UK building it from a standing start to a multi-million pound business within two years. Sandeep Gill has a degree in genetics from the University of Leeds and started her career working in laboratory medicine in the NHS.

Jolene Rayner joined Genmed in June 2013 as an area manager and quickly made her mark in the organisation by successfully managing and developing a number of pathology contracts in the southern half of the country. This was rewarded by her promotion to regional manager.

In June 2016, Jolene played a key role in securing Genmed’s first surgery managed services contract at South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC). SWLEOC has already saved over £1 million on VAT based on the scale of its purchasing given Genmed managed services are HMRC compliant for VAT recovery. This is then being re-invested in providing ongoing patient care.

When Genmed moved to a divisional structure in September 2017, Jolene was promoted to the role of deputy business manager in the Surgery Division. Jolene’s recent promotion to divisional manager comes as a result of continued high performance in the management of existing contracts and the securing of new surgical business.

Robin Modak, Genmed’s chief executive officer, says, “We’re not a conventional company in the sense that we don't manufacture anything nor are we a distributor. Genmed is a dedicated NHS service organisation providing managed services. It takes a certain kind of person to lead this type of business – people like Sandeep and Jolene - who can identify and respond to subtle market changes so we continue to provide high quality services for our customers. This is evidenced by the fact that Genmed is fast growing with a turnover of £32.4 million up from £22 million the year before.”
