Taking the Tots to Family-Friendly Les Menuires
(firmenpresse) - Choosing a ski resort can be tricky when you have little ones in tow, as you will need to choose somewhere that is friendly, safe and that has plenty of activities on offer to keep the little ones amused. I think that the French resort of Les Menuires in the Three Valleys is an excellent choice because they make a particularly big effort when it comes to families. The resort has nursery facilities, an established ski school, family ski passes and child-friendly lifts. In addition, there is an incredibly welcoming atmosphere throughout the resort, which will help you settle in straightaway.
What’s more, the skiing opportunities are excellent for beginners in Les Menuires. Ski holidays should always involve developing your abilities on the slopes, and beginners with little to no experience can certainly do this here.
Skiing for Beginners
Les Menuires has a dedicated area for beginners to learn the ropes, which is free of charge and can be accessed by four free lifts. This is an ideal spot for youngsters to get used to being on skis in a stress-free environment. There are also “smooth skiing” areas for those progressing from the nursery slopes.
Once the kids begin to develop their abilities and confidence, there are twelve green runs to master, which provide plenty of variety to keep them engaged and focused. It can also be rewarding to master multiple runs as the week progresses. Essentially, those who are new to skiing have plenty of scope for progression at Les Menuires. Ski lifts and passes can also be much more affordable than at other resorts in the Three Valleys.
Non-Skiing Activities
Of course, the little ones will not want to spend every waking minute shredding powder, and there are a lot of excellent non-skiing activities to choose from. Here are a few of my favourites.
Snowshoe Adventure: Les Menuires boasts a stunning winter landscape and there are dozens of amazing nature walks to enjoy on a snowshoe adventure. This is a great way to spend quality family time together, take in the picturesque surroundings and enjoy the crisp mountain air.
Sports Centre: If your boisterous brood still has plenty of energy after skiing, a trip to the sports centre should tire them out! Here there are all kinds of leisure activities, including swimming, table tennis, badminton and basketball. There is also a spa area, where par-ents can enjoy a well-earned break.
Dinner in a Yurt: For a unique evening, consider dining in an authentic Mongolian Yurt. You will be amazed once you step inside and see the brightly coloured furniture and wood-burning stove. All you have to do is sit back and relax as you’re served a scrump-tious traditional Alpine meal in a cosy setting.
Roc’n Bob: This fun four-kilometre long tobogganing track offers stunning views from the top, and there will be plenty of laughs, excitement and surprises along the way. It is a great family activity and suitable for both smaller and older children.
Families will find everything that they’re looking for – and more – on a holiday in Les Menuires. Ski trips to this resort are fun-filled and family-friendly, offering enough to keep everyone entertained both on and off the slopes.
