Labeling of object carriers and containers: cab provides marking solutions for chemical and pharmaceutical industries
For 20 years, Hermes printing systems have been popular in all kinds of industries, trading and service businesses. To expand them to fully automatic labeling systems matching with any demand, a wide range of modules can be added. So, labels can be tamped, rolled or blown on a product or packaging, corner-wrapped, on round materials such as test tubes, in motion or not in motion.
Precise labeling of a test tube(firmenpresse) - The swing applicator 3214 applies very small to medium-sized labels from the side on object carriers. In order to tamp or blow a label on the material surface, the pad’s position is in front of the peel-off plate. The label is printed and transferred to the applicator. A rotary cylinder moves to the labeling position. The label is applied on the object carrier by means of a stroke cylinder. Adjustable angles of rotation and linear stroke help with customized applications.
Siliconized form pads label cylindric as well as curved or convex surfaces. During label transfer, bubbling is avoided. As concerns test tubes, for example, 200° maximum label wrapping is possible.
Two-color marking compliant to GHS regulations
When GHS had been introduced as a globally unique system to classify and label chemicals and the regulations came into force in accordance with European law, the thermal transfer printers of the XC series were the first to enable two-color label printing in one operation. This means that users have no longer to provide a large amount of pre-printed labels on stock. An automatic saving function significantly reduces material consumption in the matters of expensive thermal transfer ribbons used as a spot color. Devices for maximum print widths 105.6 mm or 162.6 mm are provided.
The counterpart of the XC series in fully automatic labeling is Hermes C. All kinds of containers, such as bottles, cans, drums, cardboard or pallets can be labeled. Due to the integrated backfeed system, single labels can be printed and applied on request without loss of labels. The system was honored the German Packaging Award.
