Silver Pursuit Appoints Robertson as President and CEO
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/22/11 -- Silver Pursuit Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: SPF) ("Silver Pursuit" or the "Company") announces the appointment of Mr. Adrian Robertson as President and Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") of the Company. The appointment follows the resignation of Mr. Terry Fields as President and CEO of the Company on August 18, 2011. Mr. Fields will continue as Chairman and a director of the Company.
Mr. Robertson graduated with a degree in mining engineering from Queen's University in 2002. He worked for a major mining company in the Sudbury basin gaining experience in technical services, geology, mine planning and design, and supervision, before moving into a role with a global ground engineering consulting firm in Vancouver. After stepping away from mining to develop a career in aviation, Mr. Robertson re-entered the mining business as a consultant and corporate pilot working with several Vancouver-based junior mining companies and is a director of Meadow Bay Gold Corp. and Urastar Gold Inc.
Mr. Robertson has visited Sonora State, Mexico, and met with the owners of the La Quinterra, La Tuna and La Luz projects several times since joining the board of Silver Pursuit in December 2010. His focus will be to significantly advance the promising La Quinterra project by continuing to work closely with his Mexican contacts.
