H2scan Extends Contaminant Potential of Its HY-OPTIMA(TM) Hydrogen Analyzer Product Line With Affordable New Models
New 740 and 1740 Analyzers Can Uniquely Measure Hydrogen in 20% Carbon Monoxide & 10% Hydrogen Sulphide Environments

(firmenpresse) - VALENCIA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/23/11 -- , provider of the most accurate, tolerant and affordable hydrogen leak detection and process gas measurement solutions for industrial markets, today announced the official launch of two new HY-OPTIMA™ hydrogen analyzer models designed for implementation in highly contaminated environments. This builds on the Company's December announcement of their , H2scan's most robust analyzer to date.
"We're proud to officially offer all of our customers more choices for measuring hydrogen in the presence of high-percentage contaminants such as Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) and Carbon Monoxide (CO) -- now with increased contaminant potential and at an affordable price point," said . "The 740 is suitable for process applications not requiring explosion-proof certification, and the 1740 is IS-rated and perfect for hazardous locations. Both are especially ideal for refinery applications that require H2S and CO tolerance."
The new and analyzers support tolerance of 10% H2S and 20% CO environments and uniquely offer real-time indication, accurate hydrogen indication within multi-component and varying-component gas compositions, and do not require a reference gas. To date, they have purposely been in use by limited industrial customers but are now commercially available to all.
"We've used H2scan's analyzers for over a year in challenging, contaminated settings and are extremely happy with their performance. Their expansion of their HY-OPTIMA line is extremely beneficial to the process, refinery, and petrochemical industries," said

H2scan was founded in 2002 and has its headquarters, sales, production, and marketing staff in Valencia, California. The Company provides the most accurate, tolerant, and affordable hydrogen leak detection and process gas monitoring solutions for industrial markets enabling accurate monitoring and control functions for a wide range of applications, including control systems, safety monitoring and alarm systems. H2scan also provides portable, handheld configurations for easy leak detection and monitoring.
H2scan's hydrogen specific sensing systems based on a patented "Chip on a flex" technology are able to detect and measure hydrogen without false readings or expensive support equipment required. This makes it ideal for the NeSSI™ platform. H2scan's process systems have the ability to operate in real-time, with or without the presence of oxygen, no interference from CO or H2S, separating H2scan from all other in-line measuring technologies. The leak detector sensing systems are able to detect hydrogen in air down to 15 ppm concentration without cross-sensitivities to other gases.
The company's solid-state technology was originated at Sandia National Laboratory and the U.S. Department of Energy and is only available commercially through H2scan. Its products are sold in over 50 countries worldwide. For more information, please visit .
