Ans: Until some time back, astronomers believed that the universe was composed of electrons, protons, neutrons, ordinary atoms. However, within the previous few decades, this theory has taken a major turn as there is a lot far more to this universe than just the basic stuff of life.
The universe is really a culmination of three substances: typical matter, dark matter and dark energy.
The regular matter incorporates all the visible objects in the universe like stars, planets, human beings. They are all made up of protons, neutrons and electrons. Strangely the standard matter constitutes only 4% on the whole proportion in the universe; in addition to dark matter which constitutes roughly 24% and also the dark energy could be the large some 70%.
The dark matter is composed of one or much more species of sub-atomic particles that interacts quite weakly with ordinary matter. The dark energy includes a gravitational repulsive effect, which results in the flatness on the universe and it is accelerated expansion.
The universe nevertheless remains unexplored and we do not understand how far we've got to go to realize our Universe. It is actually nevertheless a box of surprise to us. We do not know what all secrets are waiting to become unlocked.
