NETWAYS adds PostgreSQL to its Trainings portfolio
NETWAYS expands its portfolio with two new trainings: "PostgreSQL Fundamentals" and "PostgreSQL Advanced".

(firmenpresse) - Nuremberg, 05.03.2019
The Open Source experts at NETWAYS include the free, object-relational database PostgreSQL in their trainings portfolio. PostgreSQL is known for its reliability, flexibility and many advanced features. It is increasingly becoming an alternative not only to other Open Source databases such as MySQL/MariaDB, but also to large commercial systems. Two times in a row, in 2017 and 2018, PostgreSQL was named "DBMS of the Year" in the DB-Engines ranking.
PostgreSQL can significantly reduce the complexity of environments and is the database of choice for the Atlassian products Confluence & Jira, PuppetDB and others, as well as a supported backend option for Icinga 2.
The "PostgreSQL Fundamentals" training is aimed at administrators who want to work with a stable, low-maintenance operation of a PostgreSQL database. At the end of the seminar, participants will be able to build a PostgreSQL installation that meets all the usual requirements for an OLTP database environment and offers very good availability.
The Fundamentals training includes development and release cycle, procurement and installation, (G)UIs, and much more.
The "PostgreSQL Advanced" training teaches you what you can get out of PostgreSQL beyond the basic functionality. It is aimed at database architects and designers as well as developers, but also DevOps, who want to advise their customers in these areas.
Advanced contents are, roughly outlined, performance, PostgreSQL as data center and programming and design.
The training package includes extensive training material, a notebook for the duration of the training, lunch and dinner as well as catering in the morning and afternoon breaks. All NETWAYS trainings take place in small groups. The venue is Nuremberg.
