LexisNexis continues investment in premium content for criminal practice

(firmenpresse) - 04 July 2019 LexisNexis is proud to announce that it has acquired the title Banks on Sentence from author and publisher Robert Banks. From 3 June 2019, LexisNexis will be the publisher and exclusive print provider of this pre-eminent book on sentence law, Banks on Sentence. Banks on Sentence is the definitive source for determining the sentence for almost all prosecuted offences. It covers sentencing procedures and guidelines and is regarded as essential content for all organisations and individuals practicing personal and corporate criminal law, including the Judiciary.

From late 2019, LexisNexis will also be the exclusive online provider for Banks on Sentence via its market leading platform, LexisLibrary.

LexisNexis already offers an extensive portfolio of titles to the Criminal market, including Stones’ Justices’ Manual, Anthony and Berryman's Magistrates' Court Guide, and Blackstone’s Criminal Practice. The addition of Banks on Sentence in print and online to our Criminal portfolio gives the legal profession an authoritative Criminal depository from LexisNexis. Although Banks on Sentence is primarily regarded as an essential criminal and corporate criminal law resource, it’s also increasingly important for legal professionals practising in financial services, employment, immigration and pensions.

It’s no wonder that Lady Justice Rafferty, Chairman of the Criminal Bar Association 1995-97 and Member of the Sentencing Council 2010-12 said "It is hard to imagine preparing an appeal without Banks on Sentence – clear, accurate, concise and well indexed."

Simon Collin, Director of Legal Markets at LexisNexis stated “Banks on Sentence is the established bible for sentencing and we’re delighted to be the exclusive publishers of this definitive title. We are always looking to offer must-have content to our customers. Those practicing in Crime or Corporate Crime are expected to be the experts in every aspect of the subject matter. With Banks on Sentence now available from LexisNexis in print and online, we can ensure that our customers maintain that trusted reputation.”
