New Advisory Firm Avonhurst Hires 2 New Partners

LONDON – New advisory firm Avonhurst this week announced it will be joined by two new partners, James Wyatt and Ian Frost.
Avonhurst, which launched in London in July, is an innovative advisory firm founded by leading figures in the capital markets, banking and finance and real estate sectors. It was created to meet the changing needs of sophisticated capital by providing a bespoke offering comprising legal, legislative / political risk advisory and capital services. Founded by former Jones Day partner and leading capital markets and funds lawyer Jonathan Bloom, the new firm’s day-one team included former head of banking and finance at PwC Legal Laetitia Costa, and Nigel Heilpern, who headed the London real estate and real estate finance department at King & Spalding. The two new hires are the first announced since the firm’s launch.
Ian Frost has deep experience working in the European and emerging markets leveraged finance spheres at magic circle and leading US firms in London and Germany, having been a partner at both Vinson & Elkins and at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (where he spent over 20 years).
Joining Avonhurst as a partner, James Wyatt also has extensive magic circle experience, having worked at Slaughter and May and, more recently, the UAE and London offices of Linklaters (he joins Avonhurst from the latter). Advising on a broad range of financing products across numerous sectors, he has a particular specialism in global project finance, energy and infrastructure sector finance and infrastructure acquisition finance.
