Maloof Skateboarding Announces Partnership With YouTube(R) for Live Webcast of Maloof Money Cup D.C. Sept. 3-4
(firmenpresse) - IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/26/11 -- Maloof Skateboarding today announced a partnership with YouTube® to air the live webcast of the Maloof Money Cup D.C., presented by Vans, September 3-4. The event will be streamed live on the Maloof on Saturday, Sept. 3 from 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. EDT and Sunday, Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. EDT.
"YouTube is one of the most visited sites in the world," said Gavin Maloof, co-creator of Maloof Money Cup and owner of the NBA's Sacramento Kings and the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. "This is where our audience is and where they consume skateboarding content, making it the right platform for us to broadcast our event. Over 755,000 people viewed the webcast of our New York contest. Add in all live streams and video on demand and we reached 1.3 million viewers. The Maloof Money Cup D.C. will take place at the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds on a new, world class skate park designed by Pro Skater Geoff Rowley and Joe Ciaglia's team at California Skateparks. The 15,000-square-foot skate park is the first major skate park in Washington, D.C. and is inspired by Freedom Plaza and the architecture up and down Pennsylvania Avenue. Following the D.C. contest, Maloof Cup Park will be available to the community as a recreational facility throughout the year.
