Project to Support Historic Exhibition for Victims of Japan's Tsunami

(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- (Marketwire) -- 08/29/11 -- An international epic filmed in America, Japan, Canada, England, France, Switzerland, Hong Kong and India will explore all aspects of Karma and the role it played in the life and music of Michael Jackson. Being released today on what would have been Jackson's 53rd birthday, it will also document how Westerners are increasingly using Karma Yoga to overcome serious challenges -- from cancer and strokes to war-zones and all forms of addiction.

Furthermore, 'Karma Yoga: The New Revolution' will benefit a historic exhibition to honor the victims of Japan's earthquake by featuring inspirational paintings, sculptures and bronzes from Japan, India, Tibet and China. They will include masterworks by Japan's all-time greatest artists from Hokusai and Hiroshige who influenced Monet, Renoir and Van Gogh to Ikkyu and Hakuin - dubbed the most influential monks of the last 500 years - to even the greatest Samurai warrior Miyamoto Musashi and his sensei Takuan Soho.

"The theme of the film and exhibition is the Japanese mantra 'Nana Korobi Yaoki' which means "If You Fall down 7 times, get up 8" elaborates motivational speaker Zen Acharya, founder of the Zenji Museum. "This explains the dignity and grace with which the Japanese dealt with the Tohoku crisis as well as the class and resilience with which Zen Buddhist Steve Jobs is dealing with his illness. During the recession, people are not merely dreaming about how the Law of Attraction will magically manifest materialism, but instead using the Karmic Law of Detachment to overcome obstacles and adversity that life will inevitably present. Everyone knows the physical benefits of yoga - this film is the first to highlight the spiritual aspects as well."

Karma Yoga has been endorsed by Gandhi and Einstein and karmic themes have featured in Jackson's classics like Man In The Mirror, Earth Song and Heal The World. "The best way to empower people is to make self-help and spirituality cool and contemporary via "edjutainment" or education through entertainment", says Zen.
