Alpe D’Huez: A Paradise for Ski Lovers

ID: 601175

The skiing is unparalleled at Alpe d’Huez. Chalets in the area are the perfect place to stay while exploring the region!

(firmenpresse) - With so much choice and variation in the skiing world these days, it can be difficult to choose the right region for you and your group to visit. However, the undeniable popularity of Alpe d’Huez has to count for something! With such amazing pistes, world-class dining and leisure options for your downtime, it really is a paradise for skiers just starting out or looking to take on the trickier black runs.

With this in mind, your next ski holiday should definitely take place in Alpe d’Huez. Chalets get you close to the action and provide a great base for exploring all that this Alpine region has to offer.

Unparalleled Choice

With many areas to explore in Alpe d’Huez, chalets can position you perfectly for taking in a number of red and black routes. You’ll never get bored in the Grand Domaine area with almost 45 red and black runs on which you can test your abilities. With loads of other areas to explore in the region, you’re sure to uncover your ideal ski slope!

While there are plenty of fantastic slopes everywhere you look, some of the more quiet areas can be found in the higher and trickier routes. What could be a nicer way to spend your holiday that by having a slope more or less to yourself? With the continuously improving lift systems (soon to be capable of lifting 2,400 people each hour!) you’ll be up at the higher pistes in no time at all.

Famous Runs, Fantastic Snow

The famous Sarenne and Tunnel black runs are what lots of skiers flock to the region for each year, and who can blame them? These wonderful slopes (and a great many others) are all at heights of around 3,000 metres which makes the snow quality pretty much guaranteed throughout the whole season. The colder temperatures that come with this altitude keeps the snow in top condition for longer than at many other ski resorts.

Off-Piste Magic

As well as the numerous red and black routes found throughout the region, a trip to the Pic de la Pyramide is also worth a look. This off-piste area is famous for extraordinarily deep snow, especially after a recent snowfall. More dazzling spots with fantastic powder to carve lines in are to be found all over Alpe d’Huez and can be reached with taxis and busses.

Fantastic Accommodation

The Alpe d’Huez chalets that are on offer are some of the best in the Alps. They’re plentiful and come in all shapes, sizes and to suit all budgets. It couldn’t be easier finding the right place to base yourself for the holiday of a lifetime.

The combination of world-class skiing, fantastic food and beautiful sunny weather, both beginners and the finest skiers in the world will find what they’re looking for at Alpe d’Huez. Chalets offering self-catering are also conveniently located near the local bars and restaurants, so this is one holiday on which there will never be a dull moment!
